Sexual Health and Safeguarding Communication Displays

The sexuality and safeguarding pictures have been developed by Mayer-Johnson Inc. in collaboration with Speak Up team members and input provided by 12 adults who use AAC.

You will need Boardmaker Software Version 5 (for Windows) or better to access these displays. Many people who use AAC have this software or have access to it via their communication service provider.

If you have Boardmaker and would like to create your own communication displays, the Communicating About Sexuality PCS Library is also available from Mayer-Johnson Inc.

Clicking the View with Description symbol for the graphic displays and the symbol for the text displays beside a Communication Display, will take you to a web page where you can see what that particular display looks like. There is also a description of the display and, and in most cases, an example of how it could/would be used. There are also links to download the displays from this page.

Clicking the Download Graphic symbol beside a Communication Display will download the graphic version of that particular display. You must have Boardmaker in order to open and print these files.

Clicking the Download Text symbol beside a Communication Display will download the text only version of that particular display. You must have Microsoft Word in order to open and print these files.
