This display contains vocabulary that AAC users can use when going to a medical appointment.

Example of use:

People who use AAC provided input on the phrases. They want to be able to ask their attendant to stay or to leave the room, they want the doctor to speak directly to them and not to the person who may be accompanying them. They want access to quick responses beyond Yes and No (e.g., I don't know, I don't understand etc.) They want to be assured of confidentiality and that whatever they discuss with their doctors is not shared with their family members or attendants.
