About Communication Access to Business and Services

This national project aims to explore issues related to communication accessibility and equal opportunity to community businesses, organizations and services for people with complex communication disabilities.

From January 2010 – March 2012, ACCPC will be:

1. Surveying people who have complex communication disabilities about the supports they need to communicate effectively when using businesses and services within their communities (Select here to view video on why you should complete a survey.)


2. Developing an online educational resource for businesses and services to help them increase communication access for people with communication disabilities


3. Developing information about the communication rights of people with communication challenges so they can gain equal access to the businesses, organizations and services in their communities
