Monitors

People who use AAC may want security monitors to see who is at their door, to monitor their space when they are not around, or to record what happens when they are present.  

The following is a list of sample monitors.

Allows you to view who is at the front door or entrance way. Has audio intercom with adjustable volume, monitor with hands-free audio intercom, infrared night vision, camera monitor and answer functions.

Motion Detector Lighting

Lights that turn on when motion is detected near them can be installed at entrances to alert you to visitors at night.

Peep hole and/or window beside (or in) door.

A window beside a door or a peep hole at eye level can allow you to see who is at the door before opening it.

Web Camera

You could set up a web camera with a motion detector to capture video when someone enters your room. You would have to leave the computer on.  You could also set up a “security camera” system that posts video or stills on the web. You could check a room remotely by logging into your website.
