I Was Raped

I was living in an institution. I was 26. A man who was mentally handicapped raped me. He came into my room. I was naked. He held my penis and held me down. I couldn’t move.

When I told the supervisors – they laughed. They said “He couldn’t help it.”

I think he rapes a lot of people there.

The supervisors knew about it before I was raped and they did nothing.

I wanted to call the police – I had nobody to help me.
