Learning about Sexuality and Safeguarding

"In the Speak Up program I learned a lot about my body. I am aware of what I can do with a man. I learned about the relationships between a man and a woman and two women. This made me feel more comfortable about having relationships. I learned what a gynecologist does. I feel good about knowing more about pregnancy and childbirth. I feel happy that I know about these subjects now. I feel much more comfortable about talking about sex thanks to the Speak Up program."

"With the Speak Up program, I learned about staying healthy. I learned about how keeping my body healthy will keep me happy. I learned about relationships and dating between a man and a woman. I learned about kissing and sex.

I can now safeguard myself from abuse. If someone is treating me in a way I am not comfortable with, I would report it to the staff and someone I trust. If I am in trouble I need to tell someone and they can get the police.

I feel good about learning more about healthy sexuality. I am more comfortable about my sexual feelings now. I have learned to be comfortable with who I am and to love myself and others around me who care about me."
