| Speak Up Resource Loan Library - Toronto, Hamilton and Sudbury Due to funding limitations our loan library is restricted to people who use AAC and their service providers in Toronto, Hamilton and Sudbury. To request a library loan, please contact: Jake Pyne at 416-486-8666 Ext. 243. Some items have been adapted for people who cannot read independently (e.g., tape or talking CD-ROMs). Some items have been put on CD Rom for people who cannot independently turn pages in a book. CD-ROMs run on both Mac and IBM platforms and use PowerPoint software. Instructions for downloading PowerPoint are provided. Suggestions for people supporting AAC users in accessing resources: Ask the person if he/she wants to review the materials with you or someone they trust. Ask the person if they would like to go somewhere private to review the resources as many people do not have the privacy in their own homes to do this. Ask the person if he /she requires any assistance in setting up the resource (e.g., putting CD-ROM in computer, turning on / off a videotape etc.) Click here to view the Loan Library Contents. |
