About Speak Up

How will Speak Up be implemented?

During 2002, Speak Up will work with people who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), their families and community teams in the Toronto area. In 2003 it will expand its work to the Sudbury and Hamilton areas.

Speak Up will be implemented by a team of professionals and consumers with a broad base of expertise and experience in augmentative communication, sexual education, disability issues, sexual abuse, human rights, legal and community services.

Speak Up will have an international advisory panel that will include leaders in the fields of disability, sexual education, sexual abuse and augmentative communication.

The project runs from December 2001 to December 2004.
