The Mission of ACCPC is…
To conduct socially innovative projects that can provide information and resources for people who use AAC, their families and community members to increase the participation and community inclusion of people who use AAC in all aspects of their lives.
The Values of ACCPC are…
- Nothing about us without us: People who use AAC are involved as volunteers and paid staff in all aspects of ACCPC projects
- Innovation: ACCPC encourages creativity and new thinking within its projects
- Community Collaboration: Community service providers are engaged in projects aimed to extend existing services to people who use AAC
- Reach: ACCPC resources are shared as broadly as possible with the Canadian community of people who use AAC.
- Empowerment: All ACCPC projects focus on promoting empowerment and self determination of people who use AAC
